History and current life of the old log parsonage built by pioneer Baptist minister Andrew Tribble in1794. Tribble was a friend who influenced the thinking of Thomas Jefferson. In Madison County near Tates Creek, Tribble built the “Stone Church” that he called Unity Church; this church burned in 1850 and was moved to Boonesborough Road to become the Republic Church and later the Tates Creek Baptist Church. The parsonage was moved to Boonesborough Road and reconstructed into a Trading Post in 1967.
