Christmas Parade

The City of Richmond hosts one of the only lighted Christmas parades. The picturesque setting is one many people come home to Richmond to see each year. As the sun sets and the parade begins, float after float make their way down Main Street decorated with thousands of Christmas lights. Parade spectators enjoy a variety of themes and characters, including a traditional Santa Claus at the end of the parade.

The next morning, Christmas events continue at two city locations. The Holiday Happening Craft Show takes place at Richmond City Hall each year. The craft show features arts and crafts vendors from around the region. Holiday gift items and decorations are available throughout the day. Santa Claus usually makes an appearance as well.
