More than 1,500 athletes will converge on Eastern Kentucky University for the 2019 Special Olympics Kentucky State Summer Games.
Athletes will be competing in Aquatics, Bocce, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Soccer and Track and Field.
Activities get underway with the Opening Ceremonies in the Ravine at 6:45 pm on May 31.
Sports are just part of the excitement of Summer Games. On Saturday, athletes will have the opportunity to visit Chick-fil-A Olympics Town, a fun interactive carnival area. Olympic Town also features the Healthy Athletes Wellness Village where athletes can receive free medical screenings.
There is also a victory dance on Saturday night.
